Further information has been provided by an informant, using NGK records.

According to NGK records, the correct baptismal name is: Elsje Carolina Petronella de Jager.

In addition, the informant notes that, from family information, the husband was a building supervisor, including the Ficksburg NG Kerk, but that he also was put to work in a stone quarry for his building work.

The eldest son, Ockert Jacobus Fourie (b.1885), joined General de Wet's commando and was never captured.

SRC 70 and SRC 71 vary in the details of surnames. It is surmised that the younger children may have been her children from a previous marriage and later took on the name of the second husband. This may be incorrect and awaits confirmation from other sources.
