Notes: | 17/4/1902: Superintendent, Aliwal North to CSRC: About a week ago application was made for a gentleman named Coulter, an English refugee, who was dying of consumption, to be taken up in my hospital. Mr Colter was staying at an hotel where he got very little attention, or comfort. I had him brought over and put him into a temporarily empty ward where he died yesterday. Although he was an ORC refugee he nevr claimed the assistance of any camp and as he was practically dying when brought in, I did not put him on the strength and have not included him in the hospital returns or scored him as a 'death' against the camp. Asks for approval.
