Notes:14/3/1902: CSRC to Heath: Regrets inconvenience caused by move. No MO permanent in a RC but tries to move them as little as possible. Reasons were: (a) political; (b) to make a clean sweep of existing medical staff at Bethulie, which you must know was highly necessary; © because I had every confidence in you. Endeavour will be mad to get you back to Aliwal North in future. If not possible, will recommend to my successor that you are compensated for any losses you may have sustained.
