Update: Klerksdorp camp
Posted on 04/02/2019

This is a brief update on the BCCD database. I have completed the entering of the camp register, DBC 75 Klerksdorp camp.

Here are a couple of statistics. This has added 1885 families and about 6219 additional people to the database. The latter figure is approximate because in some cases the families were already entered and had been transferred from other camps to Klerksdorp. Most of the deaths were also entered. In a few cases I could not find a match although I suspect that there are now duplicate entries in the database. It is clear that PLA Goldman used DBC 75 and all the deaths should be in his lists (the RS series) as well but, as I said, occasionally I could not find such an entry. This is usually because of alternative spellings of the names.
