29/10/1901: Isherwood to CSRC: applying for job at Brandfort;
Note offering this to him.
6/11/1901: Isherwood to CSRC: Wants further information re job. Would he be allowed to take other work? If not allowed to take other work or private practice, would not be to his advantage to accept the post as his present appointment is worth as much, and his expenses very light. The drugs and instruments, he presumes, are found by the government. As to signing an agreement to stay as long as he was required, he does not think it would be fair to himself to do so as it would prevent his accepting a better appointment if he had the opportunity. Suggests a month's notice on either side. Presumes he would not be obliged to live under canvas at the RC but anywhere withing reasonable distance.
