Notes:10/5/1902: Re Circular no 268 on infectious diseases, reports that a child of 5, Henry van Jaarsveldt, has been removed to the contact camp from House B43, suffering from diphtheria; also 7 people from the same house as contacts. All the bedding and clothing has been removed and thoroughly disinfected. In all such cases the rooms are vacated by the patients and contacts are cleaned and disinfected. They are placed in tents within a barbed wire enclosure and their rations are conveyed by a Hospital corporal.
