Notes:2/4/1902: Dr DC McArthur, PMO to Superintendent, East London: Has probably had the disease for 2 years; Is informed by Dr Spong that the case was known at Heilbron, surprised that she should have been sent with no warning; reported to RM 10/4/1902: Tregaskis, PMO to Superintendent, Heilbron: This case was known to me and reported by me to your predecessor, to the Medical Inspector of Refugee Camps, to the Military PMO, to the DS and through him to the RM; in short to every conceivable authority, and no action was taken. 14/7/1902: CSRC to Superintendent, East London: Question is being considered by the Colonial Secretary of the ORC, who will advise what action to take. It is proposed to send her to the Lepter Hospital at Robben Island
