Farm 4 miles W of Buffalo, 12 miles SE of Newcastle; Owner: P L Uys; this farm was destroed owing to P L Uys being concerned in a raid of 200 head of cattle, the property of two neighbouring farmers, D Miller and R Miller. (When it was burnt it contained no supplies, and no supplies had previously been removed from that farm.) [Source, Cd 524, p.11]
