Camp Details Name: Edenburg RC Type: black / white Date open: 01/11/1900 Date open (general): By 10 Nov 1900 Date closed: Rations: 15/2/1901: For native refugees: Natives over 12 years of age: Daily: 1½ lbs either mealies, K/corn, unsifted meal or mealie meal; ¼ oz salt; Weekly: 1 lb fresh or tinned meat; ½ coffee; 2 oz sugar - all but the corn to cost 4½d per ration. See Asam Notes: 25/2/1901: The native rc numbers about 1680. No official has been appointed. Mr ? Simpson, who talks Kaffir manages the camp and draws £9 3/4d monthly. He is assisted by George Mochala, Joseph May, Mossdaid [?] and Kost Zomo who draw no pay. Captain Bray, RAMC is attending the sick.
