Scope:This collection deals with the situation of schools and unrest in South Africa. It includes information on school and student boycotts etc.The material is arranged chronologically in files. Each file has a general section, a summary section and is then divided into regions. If any Black Sash material occurs, it will be in the general section of each file.
For the purposes of this database, time allowed only the first four boxes (October 1984-November 1986) to be surveyed. Only four brief references to Black Sash were found. There may be other Black Sash references but they are probably minimal.
Most of this collection is in Afrikaans.
