Scope:This collection consists of the research papers pertaining to the Black Sash, which were gleaned by Jo Macrobert in order to produce a Masters Thesis titled
"Ungadinwa Nangomso...Don't get tired tomorrow": A history of the Black Sash Advice Office in Cape Town 1968-1980. The collection contains the historical background to the Black Sash, 1955-1960; a rich newspaper clipping section; conference papers, minutes, and reports; legal and political documents.
