1.

Document signed by Petrus Jesse Slotsboo, with slightly damaged VOC seal embossed in top right hand corner. Sale of property, Kelder Fonteijn near Riebeeks Casteel in the Drakensteijn district, which was in the deceased estate of Gerrit Olivier, and which was sold on behalf of his widow. Dated 21 June 1747.

Document signed by Rijk Tulbagh, with damaged VOC seal embossed in top right hand corner. It is part of a deed of sale of property in "Tafelvalleij", owned by Joost Reijnhard Schenck, which was sold to Johan Christoffel for 6,800(?) "guldens Indische valiatie". The sale must have taken place c. 1751-1771.

Transfer deed in favour of Jac. Mauritz Hegers of land in the village of Graaff Reinet, dated 9 September 1818, signed by Lord Charles Somerset. Embossed VOC seal in top right hand corner of cover sheet, oversigned by C Bird.

Advertisement for the sale on 15 August 1832 of the property known as "De Hoop", situated under Lion's-Head, by the trustees, G H Maasdorp, F G Watermeyer and E A Buyskes, in the insolvent estate of Anna Rosina Henning, widow of the late Michiel Jan Smuts, by public auction. The property was bought by Mr Petrus Johannes Kotze for the sum of 48 000 guilders, Indian valuation, or £1 200 Sterling. Printed by G Greig, Keizersgracht, Cape Town.

Advertisement for the sale of property on 11 December (1834?) in Stellenbosch, in the insolvent estate of Jacob Cantz. The property was bought by Daniel Johannes Kuys for the sum of 26 000 guilders, or £650 Sterling. Signed by F G Watermeyer, one of the Trustees, Cape Town, January 17th, 1835. Printed by W Bridekirk, Gazette Office, No. 2, Church Street.(Cape Town).
