This collection consists of the research papers pertaining to the Black Sash, which were gleaned by Jo MacRobert in order to produce a Masters Thesis titled: Ungadinwa Nangomso….  Don’t get tired tomorrow”: a history of the Black Sash advice office in Cape Town 1968 to 1980.

 

The collection contains: the historical background of the Black Sash, 1955-1960; a rich newspaper clipping section; conference papers, minutes, and reports; legal and political documents.
