Save the Press Campaign(STP) was launched on 22 May 1988 by people involved in newspapers and magazines in response to legislations restricting the press.  The papers contain the constitution and declaration of the STP as well as minutes, reports, and publications.

CENTRE FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION COLLECTION

The collection reflects the contribution made by the Centre towards conflict mediation and resolution.  It consists ofresearch seminars, workshops, publications and newspaper clippings.  Earlier papers focus on South Africa’s economic, political and social history.  It includes “The political and social history of the Cape Coloured people, 1880-1970” by R E van der Ross (unpublished).
