INTRODUCTION

BIOGRAPHICAL

Professor JG Thomson was Wernher and Beit Professor of Pathology at UCT Medical School from 1949. He was Head of the Department of Pathology from 1955 to 1970.

THE COLLECTION

The collection consists of thirteen medical notebooks which had belonged to Professor JG Thomson. these were sent to Medical Library by CAFDA Bookshop. They were later donated to Manuscripts and Archives.
