4/4/1902: G-C to DA: Applying for post as supt of a camp. Since he left Bloemfontein he had been trekking about with his regiment under the command of Major Brock who appointed him as adjutant in Dec last.
Pencil note: Lt G-C was for some time supt of Winburg RC but his services were dispensed with as he was not satisfactory.

Notes:4/10/1901: Superintendent to CSRC: in error when stated his leave was up in December. It expires on 17 November next. Could I be allowed under these circumstances to remain on her until the 31st. Has been calculating his 6 months leave from the time when he arrived in the camp, but it dates from 17 May, the day on which I left Cape Town. Declines DA's offer as Asst Superintendent at Norvals Pont as he wishes to rejoin his regiment.
