3/2/1902: CSRC to SRC Springfontein: She suffered from rheumatism and on her recovery was employed by the Education Dept. Was there any objection to re-employing her?
4/2/1902: SRC in reply: Does not want her back on any account. While there she was on duty for a week at most; spent her time in bed suffering from acute rheumatism. Was exceedingly unpopular with both the qualified nurses and assistants, and caused a good deal of mischief.
Name:Winburg RC

Reason departure:dismissed because no longer needed
Destination:Winburg
Notes:10/8/1902: SMO Winburg to SRC Winburg: Recommends that services of Nurse Oliver be dispensed with at the earliest possible date. Her health lately has not been good, and she has been treated medically, while her lameness renders the due performance of her duties difficult, and I am afraid painful. Apart from the physical disabilities, I understand from the matron that she is a source of trouble among the nurses, and that this is rapidly becoming acute. And as there has been quite enough of that sort of thing in this camp, hopes he will second recommendation.
9/9/1902: SRC Winburg to CSRC: Sr Oliver has been offered a case in town and wishes to leave at once. Asks this be sanctioned; sanctioned.
8/9/1902: E Oliver to CSRC: explaining that she has been asked by the DS to nurse an urgent case of puerperal fever in the town.
