18/1/1902: CSRC to SRC Harrismith: Has received application but position already held by Sister Groundwater; thinks she should be offered matronship of hospital at £12 pm.
27/1/1902: SRC in reply: Has only 2 trained nurses in hospital and this will leave only 1 if Nurse Maxwell appointed; suggests waiting until new nurses arrive.
