Name:Vredefort Road RC
Notes:24/6/1901, Joubert to Superintendent, Vredefort Rd, asking permission to go to family in Stellenbosch; wife and eldest daughter not in good health, unable to endure hardships of camp life; both have been ill and daughter is very weak.
30/7/1901: application refused. Attached correspondence suggests he is an 'undesirable' but main reason was that 'the less people are allowed to go to Stellenbosch, under existing circumstances, the better it would be'.
