Notes:18/5/1901: On arrival I found Mrs Scott making off across the veld to the nearest commando, where she is reported to have a husband. The commandant, mounted, and several soldiers on foot, effected her capture after a sharp ten minutes. I despatched her and family by train to Winburg Refugee Camp the following morning. She was armed with a pass signed by the clerk.
